The Elm House
Wide-plank floors, original sash windows, and rooms that have been lived in for well over a century. Two guest rooms, a shared morning table, and a kitchen you are welcome to use.

Rooms that feel genuinely old
Each room has its own character: one faces the garden, one faces the street. Neither has been renovated into uniformity. The floorboards creak in different places; the windows let in different light.
Breakfast is at a shared table in the back room — eggs, bread, and whatever is in season. The kitchen is yours to use after nine.

Quiet enough to hear the garden at night
The house sits on a residential street ten minutes' walk from the town center. Close enough to be useful; far enough that the only sound after dark is the elm tree in the back garden.
Built in 1893 for mill workers. The original staircase, doorknobs, and kitchen range are still here. Nothing has been stripped out in the name of modernity.
